That is why our programs focus on clear communication, structure, routine, and owner coaching instead of surface level obedience or quick fixes. We are here to help owners build better behavior they can live with, not create dependence on the trainer.

Russ developed the training standards, systems, and curriculum that shape Lead The Way Dog Training. His background in high standard K9 training still drives the way the company teaches communication, structure, and real world carryover today.

Stephanie Beck brings persistence, practical handling skill, and a strong eye for the dog in front of her. When other trainers told her there was nothing they could do for her project dog, she refused to quit and called Russ. Today, that same dog is known for doing handstands at events. With knowledge from the veterinary world and skills developed through hands on handling, Stephanie has become a strong trainer who understands both the challenges and the process behind real progress.

Hannah Norcross graduated from Cape May County Technical High School in Environmental Science and was a member of FFA. She grew up around working dogs and assisted in their training from an early age, which helped shape her understanding of structure, consistency, and dog handling. Today, she helps reinforce the Lead The Way standard through hands on training, follow through, and the everyday repetition that helps dogs build more reliable behavior over time.
Clear Communication
We want the dog to understand what is being asked and the owner to understand how to apply it at home, on walks, and in public.
Structure with Purpose
We do not build training around chaos, guesswork, or random reps. We use a repeatable system that gives both dog and owner a clearer path forward.
Owner Coaching
We teach the dog and coach the owner because lasting success does not come from training sessions alone. It comes from routines, leadership, and follow through in daily life.
Real World Carryover
We are not interested in behavior that only works in one setting. We want training to hold up where it matters most. At home, on walks, and in public.
