This position includes on the job training and requires completion of the Lead The Way Certified Canine Trainer Assistant (CCTA) certification within six months of hire. Certification is a condition of continued employment in this role.
This is a handler level position. It is not a trainer role and does not involve designing training plans or coaching clients independently.
As a CCTA Candidate, you will support our Trainers by handling dogs enrolled in our programs and reinforcing established training systems under direction. The work is hands on, structured, and focused on safety, consistency, and clear communication.
This role requires calm energy, appropriate assertiveness, attention to detail, and the ability to follow systems throughout the day. It is an active and physically demanding position that requires stamina and awareness from start to finish.
Safe, consistent, and assertive handling of dogs in training
Reinforcing trainer directed plans using approved methods
Supporting structured daily routines and training exercises
Observing dog behavior and reporting accurately to Trainers
Husbandry, cleaning, and facility maintenance

Prior professional dog training experience is not required. Animal handling experience is helpful but not required.
